The Trip 2009 - Sweden 9

Friday 10th July.

A heavily overcast and windy day.

Fredrick's brother is getting married tomorrow and Elin and Jim are guests so there has been a lot of trying on of clothes. They were both getting haircuts so we went down into Sundbyberg with them. While waiting for them we took Di's watch in for repair as the knob for changing the fingers had come out. She is very fond of this watch, but in hind sight, it would probably have been more cost effective to buy a new one than pay the repair bill. The repairs will probably take a couple of weeks.

Across the road from the jewelers we went into the City Mission shop and had fika while browsing their stock of second hand books for editions in English. We came away with quite a good selection. This is a fascinating shop full of interesting secondhand goods, as is the below ground flea market on the opposite side of the road. We did some window shopping before meeting up with Elin and Jim.

We took the train to Fridhemsplan and had lunch before continuing to window shop. Elin was looking for colourful accessories for her wedding outfit.

Jim cooked tea and we spent the rest of the evening watching a movie and Top Gear.
