We have had record temperatures for March with a long run of consecutive days in the mid 20C range. The problem is that the night time temperatures have also been high making sleeping very uncomfortable.
Everything in the garden is growing at a fantastic rate and looking beautiful despite no rain. Plenty of hand watering though.
We get lots of this but the rain never seems to eventuate.
Even as I write this I can hear them calling as they fly over on their way back from feeding and drinking on the lowlands. They always seem to arrive just before the sun is really up or just after sunset making it difficult to get really good photos.
Last week we were surprised to see two black heads pop up and look at us across the front verandah. They were drinking from the water bowl on the front step but we hadn't seem them do this before. Its wonderful to have such diverse bird life on our doorstep.
