Just a quick photo update on our Swedish boys.  They have been away for a few days to the coast down South and returned to a rainy Saturday.

Day 66

Saturday 8th February 2014

Today is Alex's 9th birthday! Where have all the years gone?

When he was asked what he wanted to do for his birthday he said he wanted to go to Blaxland Common which is an adventure playground alongside the Parramatta River at Newington.

On the way to the playground we called in to home to wish him a Happy Birthday and give him some presents.

Ben was on hand to help Alex open presents.  The 'T' shirts were made by Becky as both the boys are very much into a new computer game called Minecraft.

The park is very big and full of climbs, slides, tunnels, swings, nets, flying foxes etc. Too many to cover all with photos.

All the surfaces are artificial grass and very soft to land on.

Jim and Johan found a double slide.

In the distance we could see this tower and went to investigate.

One of the entrances is joined to the tower by a rope climb and a rope suspension bridge.

Graham and Ben at the very top of the tower.

The view from the top.

Looking down on the water area with the cafe in the top right.

Johan in green pants with Alex and Ben in dark green waiting for the fountains to start.

If Jim doesnt move he is going to get very wet!

Its starting!

Johan looks a bit wet.

Henry says this is my Momma and we are watching the cousins in the water.

Drying out and enjoying ice creams.

Back at Beckys and its time for Alex to see his special birthday cake based on his current favourite computer game.

Day 60

Sunday 2nd February 2014

A very important day! Today is the 4th birthday of our No.1 Swedish grandson.

The day began very early for an excited little boy.

Lots of balloons and presents with the usual paper litter.

Johan went to the local swimming pool to meet up with his cousins Ben and Alex while some of the big people stayed home to get ready for the party.

Auntie Becky made a very special cake for Johan. His favourite pony's on top of a rainbow cake.

Henry wasn't too interested in the party preparations so serviced the air conditioning grilles while he waited.

When the boys returned from swimming more presents exchanged hands.

The boys built a commando course in the garden of ramps and bridges.

Happy food for everyone, the young and not so young.

Johan and his first sparkler.

Johan blowing out his birthday candles, ably assisted by Alex and Ben.

Henry wasn't really interested in birthday cake and much preferred his water melon.

Nana cutting the pony rainbow cake.

All the colours of the rainbow.

How old are you now Johan?

Its been a long day for some of the old people.
