Easter.

Easter Sunday, and the hunt for Easter Eggs this year took place at Becky and Grahams. We had lunch with Kathy and Adrian and then Becky bought out the biggest chocolate cake I have seen. I wish I had thought to take a photo but I was just too busy eating! It turns out that Becky had been over generous with the ingredients and had to use them up.
I'm not complaining as we had some in our fridge for a while.

In the meantime, Ben and Alex had a great time searching for their eggs.

Needless to say, I think they will be eating chocolate for months to come.

This is Alex wearing his Easter Bonnet that he made for his schools Easter Hat Parade.

Of course Ben had to try the hat on too.

A new style of artwork created by Becky after lunch. The process is a closely guarded secret.

Actually it started out like this but the general consensus is that it looks better the other way.

I think it is very nice and can see a lot of experimentation in the future.

Val and Rod

Last week we caught the Rivercat ferry service in to the city and met up with Val and Rod again. Just a gentle stroll around the city calling in at the Queen Victoria Building where we had a very nice lunch.

Val and Rod admiring the QVB. Actually they are incognito.

This gives the game away. Plenty of reminiscing and laughs over lunch.

This was them 40 years ago!!! We were all young once!!

We went to the top of Centre Point Tower for a grand view of the city.

Looking East and out towards the open sea.

North over the city with the Harbour Bridge in the distance.

Looking down on the northern end of the Queen Victoria Building.

Darling Harbour.

St. Marys Cathedral and the Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park.

Back at Circular Quay to catch our respective ferries. Ours wasn't quite this big!!

It was sad to say 'bye' to Val and Rod but I'm sure we will catch up with them sometime soon.
