We woke up to what looks like another warm day. We had our usual slow start to the morning as Elin had to go to work mid morning.
After Elin had gone to work, we went into Stockholm with Jim so that he could show us the train system, where to catch which train, etc.
It was nice to walk in the city again and we ended up in my favourite bar, Pickwicks on Drottninggaten, for lunch. I had Hotch Potch as usual. It was great and the beer helped also...
Throughout the city there are wonderful spires and architecture. This is the wonderful spire of Klara Kyrka.
Sergels Torg with its strange column and fountains.
The tall glass and steel obelisk known as the Crystal.
Drottninggaten. One of the main traffic free streets through the city.
Stadshuset, City Hall, a lovely building which is not far from Jim's office.
The wonderful open cast iron spire of Riddarholmskyrkan which is the burial place for Swedish Kings and Queens.
An ice cream break in Gamla stan.
Lovely streets in Gamla stan.
Pump Square with the Nobel Museum in the background.
Pump Square.
Lovely old colourful buildings. The city is full of great architecture.
Swedens Riksdag or Swedish Parliament buildings. To the left of the building, water from Lake Malaren flows into the Baltic Sea down a sloping weir.
You have been warned!!
Had a laid back evening with a light tea followed by episodes of Top Gear and Grand Design. Jim also showed me a trick way how to email photographs quicker. Its a great life.
