The Trip 2009 - Sweden 28

Wednesday 29th July.

A very bright and sunny morning. We had our usual late and slow start to the day before heading off to Nusnas to see where the famous Dalarna wooden horses are made.

When going to see wooden horses I didn't expect to be greeted by a wooden cockerel.

The horses have been made by the Olsson family for many generations.

Each one is individually hand painted.

It was wonderful to watch such craftsmanship.

The lovely old local Volvo bus.

I don't know if we are following the American Classics or they are following us but they are everywhere.

Some thing a little different pulled up while we were looking at horses.

Horsepower of a different kind, but just as well presented.

From Nusnas we continued on to Mora stopping at this little quaint village for waffles and coffee.

Even here we couldn't get away from American cars.

Beautiful and quite magical surroundings.

Fattening but deliciously nice.

Back home for dinner, which we rugged up for against the cold and had outdoors again. We had a local delicacy, Moose, which was very nice indeed.
