To ease our way around the country, especially the areas that we aren't familiar with, Glynn is lending us a SatNav but we are having a problem to get it working.
Jane and Glynn left early for work and we started to pack as we are moving on to stay with Mal and Ivor in Droitwich for a couple of days.
A lovely black and white farmhouse on the outskirts of Clive.
On the way to Droitwich we made a stop in Bridgnorth for old times sake but also for some lunch.
A traditional butchers shop in Bridgnorth.
We made a detour down the western side of the river on the way to visit our old house in Northwick near Worcester. The area hasn't changed and the house looks as though its being looked after.
Lovely to see Mal and Ivor again and catch up with their family news over a very welcome cup of tea. Ivor had to go in to Worcester to pick up granddaughter Josie from her gymnastics class in Diglis.
While waiting for Josie we had a walk along the river.
Looking back along the river towards the old church spire in the St.Andrews Garden of Remembrance, locally known as the Glover's Needle. Worcester was not only know for its sauce but also the Royal Worcester Pottery, the cricket team and glove making.
This lock is where the Worcester and Birmingham Canal joins the River Severn.
Walking back on the opposite side of the river.
The beautiful Worcester Cathedral.
Looking down river from the bridge.
Back at Mal and Ivor's we had a very nice lasagna and a good old chat.
