Travelling 2016 - Day 17

Wednesday 15th June

Today we are leaving Dartmouth. We are heading for South Wales to see long time friends Val and Rod.
We have had a terrific time in Dartmouth. Its a lovely place in a lovely part of the world that we haven't visited before. We have been truly spoilt by our niece Louise and her husband Andrew.

On my wanderings around Dartmouth I found a few signs that interested or amused me.

We joined the Creche a few times!

My brother-in-law, Ray enjoyed a quick half.

On the bar of The Dolphin.

This sign appears in many parts of the town.

Andrew in the right spot at the right time.

 Not sure about this one!

This is a strange one to see in Devon.

This small shop is next door to the Dartmouth Police Station.

Thanks a lot Louise and Andrew.

We left Dartmouth at about 11:30 and headed for Exeter and the M5. After Exeter the heavens opened and we were driving on the motorway is some of the heaviest rain I have seen. We stopped at Cribbs Crossing near Bristol for lunch and the usual retail therapy. Continuing on, I set the SatNav incorrectly and instead of getting into Wales via the Severn Bridge we ended up travelling as far as Gloucester before heading back in to Wales. All this in torrential rain.

We finally arrived at Val and Rods in Tegryn, Pembrokeshire, at about 19:00.
