Sunday 19th June
The morning was a bit overcast with some drizzle around. We had a nice big breakfast with one of my favourites, fired black pudding, and good coffee. Good coffee has been hard to find on our travels.
We drove through more lovely countryside on the edge of The Black Mountains to visit Arthur's Stone at the head of the Golden Valley. We have been here before but love the area.
Magnificent countryside as far as the eye can see.
We drove on down the Golden Valley to Abbey Dore to visit Dore Abbey which features in books by my favourite author.
An unusual 'eye' window.
We drove on through New and Old Radnor to Hereford.
Hereford Cathedral.
The Bishops Gatehouse.
A truely beautiful building.
On to Hay-on-Wye as the rain sets in.
Back to The Three Wells in the rain.
