Travelling 2016 - Day 25

Thursday 23rd June.

We were up very early, just after 05:00 as we have packing to do and still be at Elin and Jims for 07:00.

Heading to Dagis with the family.

A welcome at Dagis.

Inventive planting.

After leaving Henry and Johan at Dagis, Elin carried on to work while Jim took us into Stockholm Central on his way to work. On the way we sorted out T-Bana tickets, phone card and changed to local currency.

Jim has pre-booked our train journey to Leksand which starts from platform 6. Our seats were booked on train number 42, carriage 5, seats 69 and 70. The train was full with lots of people leaving the city to spend midsummer with family and friends in Dalarna. We met some nice people on the train, even the ticket collector was in a festive mood proclaiming that he was a weather god and had ordered good weather for the holiday. We passed through some lovely countryside with lots of Lupins in bloom. There were a few delays on the way, due to waiting for other trains on the single line, but we still arrived on time. We had a great reunion with CC and P-G who were waiting on the platform. Elin, Jim and the boys are driving up later.

We had a nice lunch alongside the water with lots of catchup talking. After lunch we headed to CC and P-G's home that we havent seen before. Lovely spot.

Elin, Jim and the boys arrived quite late as they had been held up by lots of heavy holiday traffic.
