What luxury !! A whole floor of a house to ourselves. We got up at about 07.00 and wandered down stairs to find no one at home as Jane and Glynn had gone out for a run. When they returned we had a very nice breakfast cooked by Glynn. Mid morning Jane drove us into Shrewsbury so that we could get our bearings. It was lovely to see the old town again but walking around wasn't pleasant as there was a biting wind with only occasional sun breaking through.
We bought a UK phone card but when we tried to put extra money onto it, on-line, we had problems because it wouldn't recognize our Australian address. Glynn came to our rescue and put it on his address.
We are meeting Ray later this evening but in the mean time I had a walk around Clive. Its nice but not too much of it. No pub and just one shop/Post Office.

This is High Street looking West with the white gable end of the Post Office.
Looking back the other way, towards Janes house.
There are some lovely gardens in the village.
The cluster of house forming The Orchard.
Jane and Glynn were going out to a party so they dropped us of at Rays on their way.
We went across the road at Rays for a nice pub meal and lots of catching up. Later we went back to his apartment and continued reminiscing until Jane and Glynn picked us up for the return trip to Clive.
