Holiday 2012 - Day 18

A warmish day at 15C.
I had an early walk around Clive, taking photos as usual.

Towards Shrewsbury and Wales.

Grinshill from the heights.

Clive Manor.

A barn conversion in High Street.

Clive church.

We went into Shrewsbury early as I needed to get a new memory card for the camera and a few other bits and pieces.

A lovely bit of woodland and bluebells on the road between Clive and Hadnall

Looking down Wyle Cop in Shrewsbury gives no idea of how steep this road is.

Walking down towards the Castle.

Lovely curved doors on a building near the castle.

Part of the castle grounds.

Looking back towards the town centre.
After a cup of coffee in Wyle Cop we drove across to Bridgnorth, which never changes, for lunch.

Driving back we went via Brosely, Ironbridge, Buildwas and Wroxeter.  The visit to Buildwas was to see if a farm house that I knew as a boy, near the bridge over the Severn  was still there, which it was. I didnt need a photo as I have many of it and lots of good memories.

The visit to Wroxeter was to see this building which was part of the Roman City.  We had seen a TV programme of this replica building being erected but didnt get any closer as the entrance fees to the Roman site were extortionate, plus parking fees.
