Holiday 2012 - Day 22

A cold but sunny morning.
We finally got organized and decided to visit Bridgnorth once again.  I cant help it if I like the town.

We are all well wrapped up against the cold and heading for the Castle walk and the Cliff Railway

Looking down from Castle walk onto the bridge over the R.Severn.

Looking up the valley towards Ironbridge. In the foreground is the Theatre on the Steps and just in the photo on the left is one of the rail cars of the Cliff Railway.

Part of the ruins of the castle.  This is part of the original castle keep and leans over at a greater angle than the leaning Tower of Pizza ever did.

These are the lovely castle gardens where we had our take-away food picnic lunch and Joahan fell in love with this little bridge. Maybe the attraction was that it was nearer his own size.

Elin, Johan and myself finally got to ride the Cliff Railway.  This is looking up from the bottom and saves a climb of 200 steps between High and Low Towns.

From Bridgnorth we returned to Shrewsbury so that I could collect one of the books that I had ordered from Waterstones.  We did a bit of food shopping before returning to Clive.

Jane, Glynn, Jim and myself went to the Railway Tavern for a few beers before Jane and Glynn went to collect a nice fish and chips supper from Wem.
