Holiday 2012 - Day 17

We woke up late for a change and Di got to open her Mothers day present that was prepacked by Becky in Oz.
We spoke via Skye to Elin and Jim who are looking forward to coming over to stay in a few days time.

We had a trip out with Jane and Glynn down to Coalport, in the Ironbridge Gorge.

This is the site of the old Coalport China Company which is now a museum.

The old bottle kilns in the background.

Just happened to stop this lovely Jag in the car park.

Di, Jane and Glynn posing in front of one of the bottle kilns.

Walking alongside the old canal, which runs parallel with the River Severn, that serviced the pottery.

The canal terminates on this level with a pond where barges were transported 350yds up the Hay incline to re-connect with the canal at a higher level.

At one time Jane and Glynn were considering buying this property at the bottom of the incline.

Back at Clive we did a mini packing to move down a floor so that Elin, Jim and Johan could have to self contained top level.
