It rained overnight and was still raining quite heavily when we got up.
I sorted out a few emails and paid a few bills while Di did a bit of washing and drying.
We rang Di's brother Arthur and arranged to go and see him. The SatNav came in useful as the Walsall area has changed quite a bit since last we were here.
It was good to see Arthur again but a shame that he is now on his own with Ethel in a home. Arthur looked fit and well and we had a great time catching up and reminiscing When talking about Wednesbury, I realized that I had a few old books about the town, long out of print, that he would enjoy so arranged to send him copies. I managed to find one of them via Waterstones at Shrewsbury so will pick it up in a few days.
We finally got back to Clive about 19.30 to find that the weekend birthday get together had been sorted out. Its very difficult to get everyone together on the same day, at the same time.
Lunch on Saturday with Jane, Glynn, Louise, Andrew, Elin, Jim and Johan. Lunch with Mal and Ivor on the Sunday.
Early to bed as I have to pick Elin, Jim and Johan up from Manchester airport in the morning.
