We have been having really good luck with the weather. Another very nice day.
We drove up to Warwick to visit Australian friends Di and John Henderson. Di and John sold up in Oz to come to the UK and have been living aboard their narrowboat for nearly two years.
We finally found them at their permanent moorings at the Saltisford Arm of the Grand Union canal. They have been moored here for a while as Di has just had a hip replacement in Warwick hospital.
Di aboard NB Florence.
The boat is very well appointed and is in great fettle as anyone who knows John would expect.
John preparing lunch, in the very well laid out galley, as Di is still a little unsteady on her feet.
The Saltisford Canal Trust run the moorings which are well serviced and in a nice quiet location.
This bloke is a long way from home but planning to live aboard and travel like Di and John.
Di and John are to be Grandparents in October and as their daughter and husband live in the UK, they will looking to move ashore when they find the right house.
After a very nice day with Di and John, I still had time to water wash the patio when we got back to Louise's. I love these long days.
