The Trip 2009 - UK12

Monday 15th June.

A nice morning, warm and sunny. We went into Droitwich with Mal and Ivor to do a bit of shopping. We drove in and parked close to the town centre so that we could walk through the park where there is a playground that Holly likes.

We came across this long boundary wall to the park which is made of concrete panels that local school children have been painting. It was great and far better than looking at concrete.

Holly wanted to join in and help!

A tile wall panel depicting the history of Droitwich and its link with the canal trade. The canal is the link to the River Severn and the export of salt from Droitwich.

The lovely old Raven Hotel. The town hasn't changed much.

While in Droitwich I had the band on my watch repaired. It seems to happen every time we travel, one of the links pop out as a result of it being twisted maybe while sleeping in funny positions on planes. The repairs were done for free!! Now that's service.

From Droitwich we drove across to Eardington, near Bridgnorth, calling in to see old friends Elsie and Harry who unfortunately werent in. Went up into Bridgnorth and wandered around one of our favourite towns.

We had a nice lunch before heading back to Droitwich via Much Wenlock, Ludlow etc.

We phoned Jim and Elin and had the good news that Elin should have her passport by Wednesday.
