The Trip 2009 - UK22

Thursday 25th June.

Another nice day.

Louise and Andrew got home from their short honeymoon at about 0100 but we didn't hear a thing. The one thing we do like to hear is this albino pheasant and his mate who roam the grounds.

Hope the fox never catches him.

We are having lunch today with friends of long standing, Barbara and Garth, on dry land for a change. On the way up to Walsall we called in to J.H.Lavender at Hall Green and I caught up with the latest company news and how the world financial crisis is affecting business. Not really good news but we are hanging in there.

We had a very nice lunch with Barbara and Garth and so much catching up to do that I forgot to take any photos! I must be getting old as it only seems like yesterday that I was an usher at their wedding.

On the way back to Droitwich we called in to see Dinah and were given some old family photos. I believe these old family prints are very important and should be cared for.

This one is of Diane with her Mother and Grandmother Churchman outside 41 Lincoln Road, Stone Cross. I will eventually rephotograph and restore this picture, along with others.

We returned to Orchard House about 1900 to find that Louise had cooked a lovely lasagna for dinner which we enjoyed on the patio. What more could you want, good food, good company in perfect surroundings.
