Another nice morning but overcast and cool of course.
Andrew P called in and he managed to link us up to Mals WiFi and we were able to catch up with some of our emails.
Today we are going down to South Wales to visit good friends Val and Rod for a couple of days. Before setting of we called in to see Louise and pick up a load of good reading matter.
On the way to Tegryn we stopped in Abergavenny for lunch and a look around the town.
We came across the Market Hall and these fantastic sculptures of chickens hanging from the roof.

Magnificent Cockerel.
A lovely fluffy chick. They appeared to be made from paper, card and various material.
This is an old Tithe Barn that has been beautifully restored and now houses a museum and tea rooms.
The walls bulged in every direction.
The lovely little church at St. Marys priory.
A very impressive roof area.
We finally arrived at Val and Rods at about 1600 having had a good trip with just a few showers. Tegryn was cool, as you would expect for a village perched on the top of a hill in South Wales, but at least the sun was out. It was great to see them both and again lots of catching up to do. Eventually we sat down to a great dinner that Val had cooked, so with this and a fair bit of wine under our belts, the evening turned into a memorable one. Good food, good company and happy memories, what more could one ask for.
