A very exciting day for us.
We are driving up to Hambleton Hall, on Rutland Water, for the wedding of our niece, Louise, to Andrew Menzies tomorrow.
On the way we called in to Birmingham Airport to meet Elin and Jim!! Whoopee!!
It was touch and go there for a while if they would make it as Elins passport was late arriving and Jim was very busy at work with a new programme going on line. We haven't seen them for two years and just before setting out from Oz they told us that Elin is pregnant!! Double Whoopee!! You can imagine how we felt. We were so excited and full of anticipation at seeing them again, which was only heightened when the plane was late. They finally arrived and tears all round.
We are heading for Upper Hambleton on Rutland water, in Leicestershire. We are staying at The Finchs Arms, just down the road from the wedding venue, as are a lot of the family.
The Finchs Arms.
The view of Rutland Water from our balcony.
Our very comfortable room. We should rename the place the Pheasant Arms as the family have booked it out.
A short walk from the hotel to the wedding venue. Emma, Di, Jane, Elin and Jim.
Just happened to be parked outside Hambleton Hall.
Back at the Finchs Arms having afternoon tea. Di and Ray closest to the camera.

Dinner is served! From the left, Emma, Andrews daughter Laura, Kat, Louise, Andrew, Ray, Audrey, Elin, Jim, Jane, me and Di. Unfortunately Glynn and John couldn't be there as John has an exam early next morning. Hopefully they will be in time for the wedding ceremony.
