The Holiday continues ....

Tuesday 21st May

The Chequers Inn is very comfortable. A very comfortable bed and a great shower.
Last night we ate dinner in and I had a one time favourite dinner, Gammon and eggs. Yummy!

After a nice continental breakfast we drove into Harrogate. A nice elegant town with some very nice architecture but the weather wasn't conducive to walking around as there was a cold biting wind. We spent time in the big stores to stay warm. To me everything seemed expensive even the car parking.

This was a very interesting shop in Harrogate, just my sort of place. If they didn't stock what you were looking for, it didn't exist.

From windy Harrogate we drove on to Skipton where we found a similar type of shop.

The canal at Skipton.

On the drive back to Harrogate we crossed some high country and could see for miles.

On the horizon we noticed strange white golf balls.

As we got closer it was obviously some kind of radar and listening complex. We later found out that it was an American base, highly secret.
