Friday 24th May
After a very enjoyable evening with Mal and Ivor, and a comfy bed, we overslept to the unheard of time of 07:45.
A nice slow breakfast with two great hosts and we were ready to face the day.
It was a sunny morning and it was suggested that we went to visit a nearby National Trust property called Croome Court. Mal and Ivors next door neighbours very kindly lent us their NT cards.
The start to a good long walk in the sunshine.
Croome Court.
One of the many folies in the grounds.
Beautiful grounds.
Everywhere we go in the UK there are people walking dogs. Never seen so many. Outside many shops there are water bowls for the dogs but this is the first one I saw for both big and small dogs.
The church at Croome Court.
After a long walk we deserved a good, but rather late lunch, so went to The Bull at Fernill Heath.
