Holiday 2012 - Day 63

Woken by a nice sunny morning.  Looked through the front windows and saw that there were a few market stalls being set up in the mall outside.  Must investigate later.
After breakfast I walked with Jim and Johan to a local little childrens play ground.

We were later joined by Elin, Di and P-G. Looks like all the kids together.  Back in town we had a look around the market but all we bought were wooden butter knives.

While Johan had a morning sleep I went for a walk. This is the remains of the mid summer celebrations outside P-G's apartment.

Down at the wharf to see the Gustaf Wasa which we are going on this evening.

I walked down the river towards the lake and found a lovely old village museum and the local Leksand Kyrka. A beautiful building.

I've noticed this before, the bell tower is separate from the church building.

 Church and separate bell tower.

It not often that we see a sign in Australia banning skiers.

Following Johans sleep, P-G took us in his boat across the lake to a beach near where he used to live at Vastanvik.

The little harbour at Vastanvik on the opposite side of Lake Siljan.

Unfortunately the sun went in but Johan still went in the water and didn't appear to feel the cold.

Back in Leksand and we are all boarding for a dinner cruise on Lake Siljan, up as far as Rattvik.

Let me in, I'm getting hungry!

Wow! They saved some chips for me .

Its a lovely old vessel.  We are on the top deck and had a great trip with very nice food.

The lake was amazingly sunny and calm.

The perfect end to a lovely day was to watch Euro 2012 soccer and to see Italy win against Germany 2-0.
