The sun woke us up at about 05.00 this morning so we just kept a low profile until the family began to stir.
Since Jim got back from England he has been having problems with his back and after seeing doctors it was diagnosed as a ruptured disc. Apparently there's not much that can be done and it seems that its one of those cases where 'time heals all'.
I walked with Elin and Johan to Dargis and noticed a great deal of progress with buildings, roads, T-bana etc. while we have been away.
We went for a walk along the creek and the first thing that is very noticeable is that spring really has sprung. There is lots of new greenery about and more planting in the gardens.
That little blue bridge again.
New gardens going in everywhere.
The banks of the creek have been turfed. Its different to our grasses as it seems to be more like a meadow planting with lots of wild flowers.
Something caught my eye on the top floor of this apartment block. Why would you need a life belt when you live on the top floor?
A second bridge being built across the creek. This one is a lot lower than the blue bridge. Could this be to prevent boats going any further along?
On the way back from collecting Johan from Dargis, Elin showed us the new Dargis where he will be going about the time that we leave Sweden. Its brand new, a lot closer to home and all reports about are very positive.
These are some of the outdoor play areas and furniture.
Obviously the planting will have grown a lot by the time it opens.
We noticed while walking close to Elin and Jim's, that a couple of the apartments in their block have had their balcony pavers replaced with timber. They look very good so we may have to do some investigations.
