They have arrived !!

On the 27th April 2011 we had a very early start to the day. We were up early to be at Sydney International Airport in time to welcome our little Swedish family on a flight arriving at 6.20am. Becky, Graham, Alex and Ben met us there and we all excitedly waited for Elin, Jim and Johan to walk down the ramp of the arrivals hall. The waiting seemed to go on forever but eventually we saw them and actually Johan didn't walk, he rode a luggage trolley.

What a great reunion for the adults!! It must have seemed very strange to Alex and Ben who only see Elin and Jim on Skype. Ben was a little shy but soon came around. I had been told not to make too much of a fuss of Johan as he would be a little bewildered by what was going on around him. We needn't have worried as he just smiled and took to all these strangers straight away.

After leaving the airport we all met up again at Beckys new house in Kellyville Ridge so that the cousins could get better acquainted. For the adults it was as though we had never been apart but actually it has been seven years since Becky, Graham, Elin and Jim have been together. Di and myself last saw them in Sweden while on holiday in 2009.



No, we didn't put them in a cage, this is part of the stairs in Beckys house. The stairs fascinated Johan and he very quickly learnt how to climb the stairs, then turn around and come back down feet first.

A few hours later, after a meal and lots of catching up, we left Beckys and headed home to North Richmond where our Swedish family soon succumbed to jet-lag.



Johan really enjoyed his first bath down-under. I think he would have stayed in there all night if he could.



Cuddles from Farmor and he's soon off to sleep, getting ready for a big tomorrow.
