Last Year ......

Thursday 14th June. Today Elin and Jim fly in from Sweden to stay with us for a couple of weeks before we join them in Stockholm. When we planned this holiday we were told not to go to Sweden before July as it would be too cold for us. Since we have been in England it has been colder than Stockholm and with plenty of rain. Guess what, its raining again! What a nice welcome for Elin and Jim. They finally came through the gates at about 10.00am and it was so wonderful to see them both after a couple of years. To make a change from dashing back down the motorway to Walsall we made a detour via Chester, Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth but it was so wet and miserable we only stopped in Chester for brunch and a quick look around.





After a very dismal journey we arrived in Walsall late afternoon and after having settled our visitors in we all went to the local pub, The Loghorn, for dinner. Its still raining heavily and the forecast is for the same tomorrow!!
