Visitor contd.

22nd March 2015.

Jane wanted to do a bit of bush walking so our friend George suggested a walk up to a little known lookout which overlooks the Grose River. The day was very overcast, which was good but also rather humid following some rain.

The patch of light in the middle of the picture is actually the river and we are about half way up to the lookout.

Thats right Jane, only half way!

We reach the lookout and thats the river far below.

Somewhere on the horizon, lost in the mist and low cloud, is Sydney which is visible on a clear day. We were surrounded by bird life all the way to the top. We  were followed for some distance by a pair of Whip Birds. We hear them all the time but this was the first time that I had seen them up close.

Its a good job that Jane couldn't see the view from this angle.

Its a long way down.

That's the Grose River far below.

It was well worth the effort.
