Natives come calling.

I've just noticed that Becky has posted some fantastic animal photos from their trip to the Zoo so felt a little under pressure to produce.

This morning we had the usual call from a few locals.
These are Australian Magpies and have a lovely warbling call, or as our book of birds describes it, flute-like caroling.

The baby of the group actually taps on the glass if we ignore them.

They are a family of three and will do anything for scraps of bacon, cheese or even the cats pellets.

They make a nice change from the screeching and chattering of the parrots.

An unusual plant in the garden of friends Michelle and George.

Wonderful colours.
Its actually a Bromeliad named Tillandsia Cyanea.
