Chopping Boards.

This is a follow on from a comment made by Jim-au on the last blog.

We had the same problem Jim, as you can see from the following photos.
What can you expect for $10.00 from that great Swedish icon, IKEA :-).

The bow in the chopping board varied from day to day depending on the temperature and humidity.

This is the original board which was made up of wooden strips. Although it has warped it has worked well as a chopping board but also some where to place warm items from the oven.

As you can see the new IKEA chopping boards are cross laminated and stable.

Jim correctly says that they slide around on a smooth surface so ours sits on an anti-slip pad.

We have only had this one for about a month so will be interested to see how it performs.
