Back in May we made Lime and Mandarin marmalade so its time now to make some Orange marmalade. We eventually managed to source some Seville oranges just beyond the Sackville ferry. They are hard to find as a lot of Seville orange trees are being pulled out as these days the sweeter varieties are preferred. In between these two bottlings we also made Lemon Curd. Yummy!
While the juicer was out we couldn't resist fresh orange juice.
The sugar has been added and the process is underway.
Cooking away nicely.
Temperature is rising to a critical point. Must keep an eye on it.
The jars have been steralised.
Thats the magic figure we needed to reach.
The end result, and still enough oranges for a second batch.
It looks good and tastes even better!
