Today is our winter solstice but yesterday was the shortest day which goes to show that they aren't necessarily the same thing. The temperature was down to just under 3C last night but is currently heading for 18C.
Last Saturday, which was another cool morning, we went to our favourite markets in Glenbrook.
A stall full of crystal glass glinting in the sunlight.
The local entertainment play all the old foot tapping favourites, and Di sings along.
Di spending up big.
Di wrapped up well and enjoying to sunshine.
Multi coloured gumboots ready for the next wet spell.
Hobbyhorses aren't seen very often these days. I remember having one as a child but nowhere as sophisticated and colourful as these.

I see lots of Harley Davidsons but not many Indians.
Native Grevillia we planted this year is flowering for the first time.
Lovely seed pods on the Grevillia.
A very big Ponytail plant which we were given, if we could move it. Obviously we did, after a bit of a struggle and its settling in nicely.
