Nothing to do with retaining walls I know but I just saw this little chap in the garden and had to record his lovely colours.
The front garden retaining wall is now progressing well.
This is looking from the front corner up the side of the sloping driveway.
Lots of digging holes and concreting in the uprights before bolting the horizontals in place. The big step on the left and the big post halfway up are where other walls will connect to go across the garden.
The view from the top of the drive. This last section was an interesting exercise as I had to try and follow the curve of the drive while missing water supply and drainage pipes.
The next phase is to build three walls at right angles to this one, across the garden. These will be a lower version of the bottom front wall.
