Our friends Michelle and George bought us this gift of a wooden puzzle back from an overseas trip.
It has sat on our window ledge by the back door for a couple of years and no one has had the courage to try it, in case we couldn't put it back together again.......... that is until Ben came to stay this weekend. We haven't had the boys to stay recently while we had their Auntie Elin and Uncle Jim here. In the last four months we saw great changes in Henry and Johan and now we are catching up with Ben and Alex.
At breakfast Ben was fascinated by the monkey and told us that he was good at puzzles. We told him how hard it was and that we couldn't do it, but he insisted he could do it so we relented and said go for it. In our minds we were thinking what to do with lots of bits of wood that couldn't be put back together.
With great trepidation we watched as he took the puzzle apart and then set too to reassemble it.

I have just checked and these series of photos were taken over a period of three minutes, not bad for a five year old. Certainly shows up us oldies. Its now been taken apart and put back many times.

Well done Ben! That´s impressive.
I´m glad the boys can now spend some more time with their nana and grumpy after such a long time.
