A Very Important day out.

It was a big day at Alex's school today.
It was Open Day, with cake stalls, entertainment by the students in the hall and the day when awards are given out.

These are the very colourful cake stalls which were set up early.

The cakes were made and boxed by the students, with a lot of parental help I suspect.

That's Alex's box with the fish on.

We went to his class room and saw his work books and projects the class were working on. It was a hive of activity.

Alex waiting to go into assembly at the head of his class, with his teacher Mr Hope.

There was lots of entertainment  put on by the students but this is what we had been waiting for.

Alex receiving a Principals Award, one of only two in his class.

This is the line-up of award winners in his year.

Well done Alex!!!  We are all very proud of you.

After all the ceremonies were over everyone flocked to buy cakes.
