For a couple of weeks the Hawkesbury area had been hosts to a national meeting of Model T Fords and we had seen them on roads throughout the district. It wasn't a particularly good time for them as we had been having some cool and showery weather. While shopping in Kurrajong village we suddenly found ourselves in the middle of one of their rallys.

Everyone was well rugged up for the 1st of October.

Just beyond the shops we found a few lovely old vehicles having a bit of a rest.

We later caught up with them in nearby Mcmahon Park. There were over a hundred cars, trucks etc on display.

At times it looked like a scene from an old movie.

This is an early version of a Winnibago or camper van.

Complete with fold out bed...........

.......... and kitchen.

An early fire engine.

Unfortunately this lovely two seater sports version broke down.

A lovely two seater from about 1916.

We had a good time, met a lot of nice people and Alex got to try a few drivers seats for size.
The following day it was the turn of more modern cars. It was the monthly get together for Clubbies, being held for a change at the Etamongh Pub at Rouse Hill.

This beautifully restored 1957 Triumph Tiger 110 just happened to be in the car park and got a lot of admiration.

We had about 16 cars turn up but the weather soon started to deteriorate.

We only sheltered OUTSIDE the pub. I was lucky to stay dry on the way home, not like many others that got a good soaking.
