For reasons unknown our computer monitor threw in the towel yesterday so we had to invest in a new one. Don't worry Jim, its not as big as yours, only a 22" Samsung. Just have to sort out the background colours, ratios etc.

Before picking up the new monitor I went to watch some of the road worthiness testing for a couple of cars in the same car club. This was carried out at Oran Park race track and will probably be the last ever use of the circuit as it has been sold for housing development. What a waste. The race circuit is used as it has the long straights for brake testing from various speeds, fade tests, drive by noise tests etc.

Myself and Steve Bode in the Midnight Special. No shade and very hot, no wonder we all got burnt.

A Westfield with a magnificent paint job.

This Westfield belongs to Ross Brakenbury and had just completed all its braking tests, and passed, before I had to leave to pick up the monitor. Just this part of the testing took over two hours.

Kevin Humphries getting ready to take Ross's car out for testing. Kevin was the engineer who enginnered our Westfield. At the time we built there was no requirement for all this on track testing.

Another car turned up for testing. It was just a show machine as although it sported a Cobra 427 badge on the side it was only powered be a Holden motor.
