Travelling 2016 - Day 65

Tuesday 2nd July

We arrived back in Sydney after a very long and tiring journey. We landed about 23:00 last night and were met by a nice driver and limo, all part of the plane ticket. We were driven back to Beckys, where we are staying the night, and were in bed by 01:00. It was lovely to be back on home soil and see Becky, Graham and the cat. They all made a fuss of us but we had to wait until morning to see Alex and Ben.

We woke about 08:30 to be welcomed back by very excited grandsons. They coerced us into going to school with them for their cake stall and mini open day. They introduced us to their teachers and kept telling everyone that we had made a special journey from Sweden to be there.

Back at home, the house was as cold as expected but we soon had the heating on and the fire lit. A very nice surprise was to find everything neat and tidy. All the fallen fruit in the garden had been picked up, Joe next door had swept the carport out of leaves, friends Pam and Larry had called in and picked up loads of blown twigs for fire kindling. Good friend George had mown the front and back lawns but shame he didnt feel like doing some weeding, just joking George.

Its great to have such good friends.

We have had a fantastic holiday and as usual I have a terrific photographic record of it all, about 2100 photos, and must now start to sort and save them.

Its all over until the next time.
