It’s been a funny
one, well not really a funny one but more of a different one.
We have had some very high temperatures so I suppose that we shouldn't be at all surprised to have corresponding thunder storms.
Christmas Eve is
when most of the houses in the street usually put out their milk carton lights
to line the street for Santa's arrival.
Becky Graham and
the boys came over to bring their presents to put under the tree and to see
Santa.
Unfortunately by mid
afternoon it started to rain lightly and just before 18:00 the heavens
opened.
The rain was
extremely heavy with lots of thunder and lightening. The roof gutters couldn't
handle it all and the streets were awash. The planned parade by Santa didn't
eventuate.
Still we managed
to sort out the parcels and organize for the next day.

Everyone is
eagerly waiting to see what is in this parcel from Sweden.
More presents
arriving under the tree.
Starting to get
dark outside with lots of thunder and lightening around.
Long after
everyone in the street had given up on seeing Santa, he braved the not so heavy rain and
drove up the street, for a change, at about 21:30. It didn't have the usual
Christmas Eve atmosphere due to the rain and no candles lining the footpaths.
Next morning, Christmas Day, the boys stayed in bed for a while but finally could wait no longer for their parents to arrive so started to open their stockings.
Becky, Graham and
his Mom arrived and then the fun began!!!
Lots of excitement and wrapping paper everywhere.
The aftermath of Christmas lunch.
