Another Visitor

14/03/2015

Another of our nieces visiting us, this time Jane.  Due to time constraints not all the family could travel together so Jane arrived here after spending time with her son, our great nephew John, in Hong Kong where he is working.

With our overseas visitors it is inevitable that we visit the same tourist points of interest but for us there is always the joy of showing off our lovely city and country.

A day out in Sydney to visit the Rocks Market.

One of the many visiting cruise ships towering over buildings in The Rocks area.

Geometric patterns created by the covers over the market stalls.

One of my favourite buildings in the Rocks area. This building is on Hickson Road and at one time was the home of the Acoustic laboratory where the Cochlear Ear Implant was developed.

The Museum of Contemporary Art .........

........ and the new extension.

Very clever advertising which can only be seen from one direction.

Looking back to Circular Quay.

Sydney's first icon, that lovely old coat-hanger.

Circular Quay and the city on a lovely summers day.

Looks like they are about to release pigeons at any moment.  Not my idea of travel.

Our second city icon.

A very talented young man busking on Pitt Street Mall. Check him out on you-tube.

The beautiful Strand Arcade.

A great statement by not my favourite architect.

Ain't love grand. This young lady ran out of fuel and Sir Galahad rode up on his charger with a bottle of petrol in each pocket!

A great day out in our lovely city.

Yes she was there but as you know I have a reputation to uphold of never including people in my photos. Most of the photos of Jane were taken with her camera but I will put what I have in the next blog. Promise!
