One of the Rivercats heading into the city.

Lots of flags flying along the river but it had just started to lightly rain.

Lots of vessels dressed for the celebrations. These were moored opposite the Jazz concert taking place near the Casino.

The S.S. Lady Hopetoun leisurely moving down in towards Darling Harbour.

Doesn't look too good out there. I don't remember seeing the Harbour Bridge like this before. Isn't the sun always meant to shine in Sydney?

The old swing bridge under the Anzac Bridge.

Rain drifting towards the Anzac Bridge from the city.

I don't think we will see much of the fireworks!!!

This view of the Opera House isn't seen very often.
When the fireworks did go off, all we saw was a few flashes and a faint glow in the sky above Darling Harbour. Although it was only light rain, the cloud level was that low that when the first fireworks were let off, the resulting smoke was held down by the cloud layer and blanketed the whole area. We may not have seen the fireworks but we did hear them and met some nice people on the boat.
